Installations RF radio fitter provides a range of services from a single basic installation of a mobile phone, radiotelephone (two - way radio) or taximeter (taxi meter) into a vehicle. This can usually be done at your home or workplace and will normally be completed in less than two hours. For large installation contracts please contact. Single pole base station antennas can also be installed.
Maintenance Subject to a preliminary inspection, contract maintenance of your radio system or taximeters can be undertaken from as little as £1.00 per unit per week, subject to certain conditions, or alternatively a single repair of a vehicle installation or off site radio servicing can be done. Out of hours working is also available, we don't finish at 5pm like other companies.
Short term Hire A short term hire service is available for organisations who wish to use radios for a short period. Please contact for more information.

Taximeters The majority of taxis and private hire
vehicles have some form of fare metering. RF radio fitter is able
to supply the following:-
HAC
-An established company with a
range of taximeters to suit all needs. The entry level meter is the Metro 4 now
with up to nine tariffs and available with RTC (Real time clock).
Cygnus -The latest product from Cygnus is the MR500. (Cygnus makes the meter fitted as standard to the TX1). The range starts with the MR320 non calendar. A printer and card swipe is also available which is compatible with the latest Cygnus meters.
Viking - The new Viking 5 MID approved meter The Viking 5 is small and lightweight and will fit easily into most vehicles. This meter complies with the latest European legislation. Please click on the link for more information.

Definitions:

- Removal of all previously agreed items of equipment
from a vehicle.
*Re -
Installation or re-installation of the supplied equipment. Prices are for a
standard installation which includes connection to the battery (if practical),
antenna connector to suit and sundry items. The price does not include an
antenna or 24v voltage dropper which can be supplied at current RF radio fitter prices
if required.
* TAXI
METERS - Meters are normally supplied by dealers in their respective areas. If
you are not in the PR and surrounding postcode areas of Lancashire please
contact the appropriate manufacturer who will be able to give you the necessary
contact details for the agent in your area.
Please note that some modern vehicles now use a system called can-bus. An
additional unit is sometimes required to obtain a speed pulse in order for the
taximeter to work.
